History

The short long story

The short: Devil's Peek Games was founded in August 2015. The long: Back in 1990, age 8, my family bought their very first computer. I stood - captivated - staring at the pixels on the screen. My mind was lost in questions over how this device had the magical capability of producing interactive stories. I was hooked - and it wasn't long after that I was creating small little text based adventure games through Q-Basic. I progressed onto Delphi, C++, eventually picking up Open GL and Direct X. Throughout my entire childhood, I had surrounded myself with computers - I was constantly learning languages, logic and technology. While exploring these new tools, the question, "How can I use this to make a game?" often presented itself. After varsity, I had focused on my career, progressing from a junior C# developer in a small business to where I am now currently - a full time project lead for a well known property portal in South Africa. Although my career is quite possibly the furthest you could get from game development, I have never lost my lust to create a game... and not just any game... the game that I had started writing in 1998 that I had never finished.
